Thats the plan. It's just unreal how large the file size of the footage is. Makes it a nightmare just to get the footage into fcpx or even iMovie. Pre rendering it is so choppy... ugh. I'm still trying to find the best GoPro settings for smooth flight video day and night.

Well if file size is an issue I would just go for 1080p 30 fps medium view. That setting is also best for low light and the filesize is smaller than 1080p 50fps. When importing into FCPX on a slower machine ensure you allow it to create optimised media and just leave it to import overnight if needed. Never watch it, FCPX knows when your watching and deliberately goes slower
