Motors do not RUN!

I used my Phantom last August in France and now I am back home I charged the Phantom battery, installed it in the 'copter as before but the motors will not start. I read the manual again and it refers to a 'Link button' which I am unable to find.

PLEASE help me someone!?

Dose it power up ?
What phantom do you have ?
What software are you using ?
Is the controller bound to the bird ?
