Motor rotation

Hi guys. First time post so go easy on me pls. I have the phantom 2 with the h3 gimbal. yes I crashed and had to change the shell and an esc. All went went well but now on quad start, the motor connected to the new esc is spinning in the wrong direction.

What could cause this. The esc is wired exactly as original

If I reverse the red and yellow wires at the esc, will this change the motor direction on a P2

Assuming you bought the proper esc (red or green, front or rear, respectively) and motor (CW or CCW, black dot or none, respectively) then yes swapping any two motor leads will reverse rotation.

The best I could determine is there is only one type esc for the P2. It only glows red which is the color I expected. Does the wire swap work on P2. Thanks for the reply

Swapping ANY 2 wires from the ESC to the motor will change direction of the motor.

Swapping the wires did work. I don't like it but I'm back in the air. I thought the esc controlled speed only. Why did the motor rotate backwards
