Lets say I'm in a position where I have to replace the motors, is it possible to use third party ones on the phantom vision?
If so what would people recommend?

Or, are there DJI parts, motors, etc. available, and for what prices.

Replacement DJI stock motors for the Phantom(s) are available at many dealers, usually around $25US. You can also use the "Reds" (the DJI motors sold with the F450/550 kits) which are the same motors anyway, or wait for the upcoming E300 sets, which also use them.

You can also put in other motors, Tiger makes a replacement set marketed just for the Phantom: http://www.aerialtechnology.com/shop/mo ... on-4-pack/

Just remember that any motor replacement will require soldering, since the stock ones are hard-wired to the ESC's.

(slight aside) ...and if I may say so, really, really nicely soldered they are too. In fact all the soldering inside the Vision is top notch work, and any cables potentially subject to strain are either tied down and/or have silicon applied where they meet circuit board. It's a really well built machine on the inside. (aside over, as you were)
