I found out the hard way, today, that if the connector to that board comes loose, your Phantom will flip upside down and start tumbling in a heartbeat. Luckily I was only about eight feet off of the ground. I busted a prop clean off and scarred up the other three. The good news is that I now know how to completely disassemble my Phantom, and have gathered the hand tools to do it, which are now a part of my kit.
I just completed my reassembly test flight, and all seems good. I went ahead and re-calibrated the compass just to be on the safe side. Those extra stickers and parts came in handy
Happy Flying. I now have a little increased confidence as I had the chance to check everything else while I had it apart.
