Most common max altitude for Dji phantom 2

What should I put my Phantom 2 with zenmuse h3-3d and gopro hero 4 max altitude as it is currently 394 feet/120 meters. I want to go higher but I don't want to lose my phantom. What do you guys recommended and what do you have max altitude set as. I am not using FPV currently.

I have my limit pretty high, but I have FPV so can monitor my altitude.

400ft? I've had mine less than a week and am already taking it to 400m. Definitely use FPV to confirm distance and stuff though.

Thanks guys I might up it to 500 ft because at 400 feet it is still easy to tell orientation by the led's

I think the FAA suggests 400 ft to avoid low flying aircraft. I set it much higher when I'm in the mountains.
