With no protective foam on the top, it seems very unsafe to me.
Especially with the props left attached. ;-)
I like the @dji hardshell backpack for this, with the 360* of solid surrounding, full protection.

I've been using one for months. Surprisingly It protects very well. And it takes up much less space for an attached props case. YMMV

I like the look of that style, much better than the hardshell backpack. ;-)
Are they very water resistant?

They are and pretty comfortable to carry. I use it for other than the bird too. It has a million compartments.

Yeah, compartments are seriously lacking too...
