One of the reasons for the new FAA regs is the danger for police etc. triggering an explosive device when opening the battery compartment to find the FAA Reg #. The only danger that I can imagine is finding another dead and useless DJI battery -- useless before its time and DJI will be glad to replace it at your cost.
