Made it over 11000ft before i got scared and came back. Those alfa antennas are the truth. I may try some amps soon.

That's a long flight. You do a full round trip on that? I'd have to believe the battery was pretty low on that.

Got to 11200ish with 70%. Got back to home point around 50%

Wow! What are the part numbers? I'm using the Itelite DBS on my existing Argtek mount.

I have the alfas. My farthest flight was 1.3 miles and I was at 60'ish percent when I turned around. 11,000 ft is some kind of awesome with just the alfas. I got my DBS installed tonight. Hoping the weather cooperates tomorrow for some tests. What kind of terrain are you flying? Are you on a hillside where you are keeping LOS or flying over water?

I like the guy burying his face in a a$$ on the screenshot... Lol

These are the antennas you have pictured there, correct? Just wanted to confirm before I buy them on amazon.

And I can just screw them right onto my ARGtek base instead of the antennas that came with it?

Yes, the Alfa antennas will replace the Argteks. I am using all Alfa dual band APA-M25 antennas. I also use the Itelite DBS antenna which will fit also. Range is about the same around 5800 feet. The Alfas seem easier to aim at the bird. Location and weather condition play a major role in distance. See attached pic.

That pic of the 3 Alfa panels on the r/c next to the DBS antenna is 3 large panels instead of 1 large and 2 small. Is there much diffrence in the 7 dBi panels and the 10 dBi panels except the cost lol.

The dual band panels are 1 dbi more at 2.4ghz. I guess 1 dbi would be important if going for a record.

Good question! Wonder if 10db is both bandwidths? If it costs more, it's gotta be better!!!

I am only looking for a steady 1 mile with reliable signal lol. I wouldn't mind getting the DBS but I live in the Southwest of England and can only find it for sale in America!

Get the MagicPower mod and set the power to 27dbm. This only extends video range though.

How to Update Tx-Power with Magic Power v5.0

Can you buy Alfa antennas where you are located?
