Final Cut Pro X. Apparently iMovie also works quite well.

I use iMovie but see the limitations versus Final Cut Pro X. iMovie will work and work pretty well. However, you need to FCPX to be elite.

Started with iMovie and GoPro Studio now I am using FCPX for the price you can not beat it .

Get Premiere Pro! Smokes final cut crap!
I have CS5, so I'm not going to refute the power of Premiere Pro, but I wouldn't go so far as to call Final Cut crap. You have to also consider the disparity in price points.

FCP X is buggy and crash-prone, but I LOVE IT.

I edit video for a living (24 years in TV, 38 Emmy awards). FCP X is perfect for blending multiple formats and frame rates, plus the color correction and retiming, and great plug-ins.

Look for Ripple Training and some of the free (YouTube) training videos to learn the interface.
