Lost video signal, heart skipped a beat

Third time flying and I decided to venture out a bit. Thought I would fly out past our creek and over to the adjacent property. I doubt I was even 1/8 mile out and lost video signal for a bit. I walked up my drive and eventually got it back. Cold and very overcast out but GPS was fine. Thought I was going to have to test out RTH for a few minutes. Got signal back and flew back towards my property. Total flight time 10 minutes but it seemed like a lot longer. A bit stressful, but SO much fun!!

As long as you have a green light on your controller, you are still connected, so just take it higher and you will probably get video back. If the light goes red, it will return as per your RTH settings. As for the RTH function, you may want to practice it in an open area over and over to get some confidence.
