Loose part in phantom 4

1st day i got my phantom 4, as i pulled out the box and looked it over.

I heard something loose inside the drone , something moving inside as i moved the drone to look it over.

I can hear it falling to one arm, as i moved, and I tilted it again, then falls to other Arm.

There something loose inside and I don't know if its a screw, or metal or plastic.

I bought phantom online, at Apple.com
That was on 4-4-2016. And got dilvered on 4-7-2016, and I registered it on same day, on my ipad mini on the DJI GO App.

Everthing works and I don't have no issues

I only used it 2 times, and and only have about 45 minutes of use.

My worry is, im worried it might be a screw and may cause interferense or cause voltage spikes and cause electronic damage.

If it's a loose plastic, im fine with it.

What can I do?

Keep flying it or exchange it. If you open it and attempt to fix it, I don't know if Apple will take it back if you're not successful.
 
I'm pretty sure opening it up voids Dji's warranty too, doesn't it?
 
if I would of payed that much money and got it heard something not right would of sent it back right away

I'm not going to tell you what to do but in my case, when I was performing the upgrade the other day, my P4 got all messed up. I called and talked to DJI and after a 40 minute wait, the tech told me that I needed to reinstall everything starting with the P4. I told him that the remote was busted and then after about a 2 minute silent moment, the line went fast busy. I packed it all up and took it back to Apple and replaced it.

I too purchased it online and picked it up in the store. As long as you have your order number, you should be able to return it.

No this is me, I would return it. We don't pay this amount of money for something to be wrong with it.

Yeah, I mean, why not just take it back? It's gonna be covered, your not screwing anyone over, plus these shouldn't rattle. Maybe it's nothing like u said, piece of plastic, but maybe down the road....something else comes loose, and what about the value of it? A year or two down the road when u want the new P7? You want to sell a drone with a rattling? You'll have to ask less for a perfectly working craft.
Unless it's a crazy drive and cost you money, take it to work with you tomorrow and on way home stop and replace, then you'll have a brand new baby to update and take care of
 
I find it a royal pain to have to ship back a large item that I bought online.

But, if it is a metal screw falling around inside the drone, there is a chance that it might wind up contacting a circuit board during flight and shorting it out. I'd send it back.
 
Take a magnet and see if you can get it to stop moving? Through the shell. That way you will know of it is a metal or not?

I shipped thru fedex.

Just printed a return thru fedex sheet on it and tape it to box.

It is a 2 day delivery service.

Didnt have to pay insurance on it.

I talked to Apple last night, a customer specialist.
I told them my story: a part moving around inside and etc.

No Problems through Apple.com

The Specialist said: you are still under the 14 day return policy, once my return reaches their scanned depo, then Automatically their system orders me another Phantom 4.

I said to my self WOW! Im glad i ordered to Apple.com

It was hassle-free!

Definitely not normal. My p3 had same thing. Turned out to be a white plastic piece about 3mm by 5mm

I'm glad you decided to take the time out and return it, even if it was a slight hassle. I had $400+ off at Best Buy so of course that's where I bought mine, being able to take an item back for up to 45days is great, being able to just replace without shipping is even better. I bought the P3P the day the P4 debuted, but Best Buy wouldn't stock then until the 1st of April, so had to wait until then, they barely looked the device over, I could have kept the SD card and other stuff, but I always put everything back in, for the next guy, even though he's getting a discount
 
The funny part is, it crosses all our minds too, and i was thinking about the next guy too,

He would be bummed out, if i kept the charger, i can always use a extra charger!

But doing the right thing... Its better

You wait my charger will be missing! Just for saying it!

Your lucky Sim that your bestbuy will take it back, here in Canada bestbuy has a 30 money back and return policy if the box is NOT open! They should have a one year return with that crazy policy..
