Long Term P3 Battery Storage

While I wait for my P3A to be delivered. I've been reading up on various topics. One being care for the Phantom batteries. I hope to get a lot of fly time, but living in the arctic means the colder season starts in September/October and lasts in to May.

I can't see myself out in -50 celcius flying my new bird. Though I'm sure there will be a warmer day or two where I'd like to take it out and see how it handles in the cold.

That said, I am curious as to how best store my batteries for long term over the winter months.

Can LiPo's be stored for months at a time and still maintain their life span?

Anyone have and advice that can be offered?

Yes. The batteries will automatically start discharging to a safe storage level after 10 days. That discharge process takes about two days. Pressing the button on the battery will reset the 10-day period. You can decrease that 10-day waiting period in the DJI Pilot app if you'd like.
