Anyone know why the live view quality is better when video mode is selected and poorer when photo mode is selected using iPhone 6s+ on iOS 10.2

I've noticed a delay when switching to photo and back to video, and once the stream stabilises there's practically no diff in the pic quality. The actual photo clarity when viewed from the card is better but that's to be expected given there are far less compression artefacts.

RJersek is right, I can confirm too: the video link picture that results on the screen of my iPad mini 2 is better if the camera is set to video mode, not picture mode.
Take a look on the attached screenshots.
Download and zoom them at their actual size.

Here (video mode) you may see up to the 6 MHz burst.

I would bet the distance flight before signal loss in picture mode is better than video mode, because the 5.8 GHz lightbridge uses on purpose by DJI designers, less bandwidth than in video mode, thus a better range :)
