Litchi VR update (joystick?)

I have a quick question about the new "joystick" mode while in VR in the litchi app. I know how the immersive mode works but I don't know what the "joystick" mode is for. Anyone use it and know what it does? Thanks!

Joystick will track your left and right movements so you only use your sticks for altitude and speed forward and back
