Newbie trying to understand Lightbridge technology. Is this technology now built in to the P3A and Pro whereas in the past with the P2's it was a separate unit? What exactly does it do and why do you need it?

gets better range distance and yes built in now if you want to fly far its good but some of us are happy with standard range

1. Is this technology now built in to the P3A and Pro?
Yes. Its now built in.

2. What exactly does it do
Voodoo and beads. It allows transmission of the video signal over substantially farther distances than a standard WiFi signal does/can. I personally have flown out to more than 10k feet from home using a bone stock P3P.

3. and why do you need it?
You don't. Unless you want to fly more than a few hundred feet from you or you don't want to use the WiFi on your phone/tablet.

If you only fly short ranges, you don't REALLY need it. If you plan to fly beyond that and still want a FPV from the drone, then its awesome sauce.
