Landing

Mine seems to err on the side of caution.
I know the visual sensors depend on light levels, maybe it was too dark?
How far out-of-level are we talking about?

That's normal, it can't see if it's not level. The distance values is very close but not dead on. The level would have to be way way off for it to get conflicting values.

Like a parking curb and I contacted the company I bought it from and they said that the landing sensor does not work when you are manually landing

When landing manually, the Phantom will follow your commands from the remote controller. If you try to land on a curb, it'll land on the curb (whether or not it lands upright).
