Laguna Beach Part 1

Holiday in Southern California with some friends. We drove down to Laguna Beach one evening and filmed at sunset. Mixed footage of my Phantom and my friend's GoPro. Absolutely stunning location! I got permission from the local authorities before flying and they actually came out to see the action. I was a little nervous about flying over a public beach but it turns out that everyone was very positive and curious about the whole thing. I really loved showing the monitor to anyone who wanted to see what I was seeing. When I can afford it, I plan on setting up a monitor on a tripod so I can share the experience with more people. I think that's a good step in helping to shed some constructive light on "drones".

2 police officers in the park/beach area. They said it was fine as long as I didn't fly over traffic. They also mentioned that others had done this before. They had the usual questions, how much does it cost, flight time, where to get it, etc.
