Is this normal in ATTI mode?

Had my first crash today. I was flying around under some trees in ATTI mode when a large one jumped out in front of my drone. Hit about 2m meters up and fell to the ground. No damage to the props that I heard hitting the tree or the camera.

When I got to drone the motors were still trying to spin. It had "landed" upside-down in long grass. When I picked it up they revved back to life. I was under the impression that they would cut out?

So is this normal for ATTI? and what about GPS mode? .. in any event.. lesson learned.. CSC on crash!

Yupp... this is not an AR Drone or RC Logger... you need to kill your motors on a crash... the sooner the better :ugeek:

i guess the motors revved back up cos the friction to ground was gone. the quad will have been trying to right itself back to level.
