Is there a lag using the GP3 and a 5,8Ghz FPV system?

I'm about to finish the "order process" on my DJI Phantom(ver 1.1.1), and I'm thinking of getting an FPV system as well. I don't own a "smartphone", so that is not an option for me.
I will be flying a Go Pro 3, with a Futaba 8J TX/RX, and a Zenmuse(sp?) 3D Gyro. I'm looking at the HWC Eagle Eye system-which is essentially a 7" monitor, and a 5.8 TX/RX, and a plug to go from the Go Pro to the TX.

What I want to know is; is there a delay between the video I see on the monitor of the FPV system, and the video being shot by the GP3? If so, how long is the delay?
Assume I'll be less an 1000 feet away.......

There is no lag, the video is almost instant. The standard def video makes it very quick.
