I've had several p2v members, and friends, ask me
" Why won't my bird upload videos to my iPhone? " they get " video format not supported ". I never really dug to find a solution!
Well during a current ( firmware delete, and reinstall on my P2v )
Don't ask why, anyhow with new firmware installed, I noticed my bird would not let me upload videos to my iPhone 4s?
So I dug a bit, here is what I found
First I noticed my camera was set to 1080i 60 Wide, so I tested everything
Here are my findings:
Camera set to: UPLOAD?
480p 30fps YES
720p 30. YES
720p 60. YES
960p 25 YES
960p 30. YES
1080p 25. WIDE YES
1080p 25. MEDIUM YES
1080p 25. NARROW YES
1080p 30. WIDE. YES
1080p 30. MEDIUM. YES
1080p 30. NARROW. YES
Below, does not work:
1080i 60. WIDE. NO
1080i 60. MEDIUM. NO
1080i 60. NARROW. NO
There you have it, all work EXCEPT, 1080i for uploads straight to your iPhone/iPad. You can get your 1080i pics from your card if you use a PC.
For some reason mine reset to 1080i? Not sure why? But now we know!
These are found in vision app, camera settings, change your resolution there. I'm NOT sure about android devices, but Apple devices, at least older ones, do not support those types of files?
I even updated my 4s to newest firmware, loaded the latest app, and still the same findings!
