Yesterday I received my new iPad Mini 4 from Apple. I was very curious about its performance with the P3P. I first tried the setup at home, on my desk, to see how the screen lag was doing. Not bad but you must switch on the hardware acceleration in the DJI Go app. Hardly any delay, a few tenths of a sec.

I took the Phantom for a spin yesterday and today and I must say it ran like a charm. The new mini is slightly lighter and thinner than the Mini 2. The screen quality is excellent as usual, although the advertised anti-glare qualities of the screen are no match to the full sunlight, so the hood came in handy again.

How do you adjust the hardware acceleration in the dji go app?

Thank you.
  • Go into Camera View
  • Tap on the settings button top right
  • Choose "General Settings" (the bottom tree dots on the left)
  • Flip the switch " Enable Hardware Decode" to the right, so it runs green
