Ipad mini 3 serious delays in the tropics

Iv been flying in the tropics, tahiti and indo lately and have experienced extreme delay in my transmission to ipad mini 3 from my phantom 4pro and my mavic, so bad at times i couldnt fly, when i swtiched to using my iphone 6, all was fine. since home and back in cooler climate iv had no issues,

Has anyone else had this or know how i can fix it?

My guess is that you had your display screen set to high, (which is usually needed while flying), and the iPad mini 3 just got to warm to function properly.

They are known to that.

Also make sure that there are no other apps running in the background while flying.

FWIW, The iPad mini 4 runs much cooler...
