A friend of mine will be taking this chimney down with a high reach excavator however he had a dilemma......is it concrete capped or not ??? A quick call and off to the rescue we went, even more justification to the wife for my purchase...happy days.

Real use of your P3

Looks like a job for dynamite. Much safer. Either way be sure to take video of the demo!

And a time machine back 200 years. :)

Explosives require a _lot_ of certifications and then huge hurdles and expenses to get permits and the required safety set up.

Yeah I hear ya. No matter how you look at it, high demo work is dangerous. Blasting contractors are usually more expensive but always safer. High reach excavators get in trouble if they can't reach high enough. Both methods would be exciting to video from the air.

There is NO problem that cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives! (that's my motto)

While explosives would make for awesome aerial footage what the picture doesn't show is the motorway 100 yards left of the stack !!
Two weeks time she's coming down I'll be sure to put the footage up guys.
