Immersion 600 gets very hot?

I have a question about the immersion 600 transmitter which I just installed on my phantom 2.

I noticed in testing it, it gets very hot. Is this normal? Also I have left the clear plastic wrap on the transmitter that it came wrapped in. Is this supposed to be removed?

Check your antennae is securely connected

I have a cloverleaf antenna attached. And yes it is very tight.

Is the plastic shrink wrap around the immersion supposed to stay on? Or is that supposed to be removed?

Leave the plastic wrap on, it helps protect the circuit board.

2trick is right. the heat shrink is there to protect the board from shorting on other components.

transmitters typically run hot. And yes, leave the plastic wrap on. In their instructions it even mentions this.

Mine runs hot also, never been a problem.
