With all these stories about flyways, I wonder, after you have lost the bird it is probably hovering. So does it hover in one spot until the power can no longer sustain its flight and then turns off and drops unpowered to the ground, or does it slowly descend as the power weakens? If it is the latter, chances are you could get it back unharmed when someone reads your reward sticker (of course you have your phone number on it).

Most of them that I've seen the craft just keeps booking til she runs out of gas, some descend under power, some don't.
