yesterday I bought an I pad mini 4 from best buy.
the lady there helped me regester in the apple store and down load the DJI go 4 app from the app store on the I pad mini 4.
when I got home I took the old tablet off the controller than powered up the new I pad mini 4 and a/c and controller.
when the screen came up on the top left it said Disconected.
never could get it connected.
I put the old tablet back on and it connected right up.
any suggeations on how to get this I pad mini 4 top work?
thx D

How is your iPad Mini connected to your remote controller?

That's your problem. You need to connect the iPad Mini to the USB port on the back of your remote controller with a Lightning cable. You can use the cable that came with your iPad Mini.

If you'd like a shorter cable, this Cambond Lightning cable is a nice choice. That's what I'm using with my Phantoms.

well that answers that question.
I hooked up the cable and after I powered everything it came up nice as can be.
thx Msinger.
does the wifi need to be on or off on the tablet?

The P4P does not use Wi-Fi for anything, so it's up to you. I normally keep it turned on.

I'm glad to see that it was something so simple. :)

Question - how did the old tablet connect right up to your P4P if you weren't using a cable?

it is android and it used a cable.
the people at best buy told me that the I pad mini 4 was wi fi only and didn't need any cable to be connected to the tablet.
oh well live and learn.
