P4 Firmware i know this has been beaten to death but..

I havent updated my p4p firmware since the summer, my question is, is it ok to update my ipad mini 4 to the latest ios (11) and update the dji go app to the newest without updating the firmware ?? right now this is what i have :
ios 10.3.3
AC - 01.04.0602
RC -01.04.01.00
App- 4.2.5
precise flysafe database for AC - 01.00.01.05
precise flysafe database for app - 01.00.01.07
basic flysafe database - 01.00.01.05

That's a risk. You will likely have incompatibility with your old GO4 app and the new ios11, forcing you to update your app, and that may force you into new craft firmware. Before you do that, test your current old firmware with someone else's iphone with iOS 11 using the latest version app. If that works, your risk is less, but I would not give up old craft firmware.
If you have 1.3.509 craft firmware from June 2017, that's gold IMO. That version allows parameter changes to eliminate many restrictions. Myself, I'm not taking the risk because I love the freedoms of 1.3.509. I've frozen my setup. I'm not changing a thing!
