Hub for F550?

My brother wants to get the F550 package from Helipal. On my Phantom 2 I have a Hub, is the DJI CAN Hub Module for DJI Flight Controller basically the same thing? He would get the FPV system, iOSD and Gimbal

Yes. The CAN-BUS hub fits the 550 Naza V2 which, if you get that on the Helipal kit, will fit.

The CANBUS hub will indeed work on a 550 with a NAZA, but it's not at all the same thing as the hub you're probably thinking of in the P2...that hub is specifically for connecting all the proprietary DJI video link cabling. The CANBUS hub is just for connecting multiple CANBUS components to the system...and it doesn't sound like you'll have enough of those to warrant the cost/size/weight of the CANBUS hub.
