How successfully upload an image

Hi all

I'm after a little help, when I upload an image its massive/fills too much of the screen on this forum.
Example below.

I've reduced the file size to only 300kb

How do I make it much a sensible size fit to this forum.

maybe use a more advance programme and change the pixel quantity ? or just upload to a site like mediafire for free and post link then people can view the full size pictures the later is the better option

Thanks for the advice. I don't use Windows. But I employed that solution on my mac in Lightroom.
