I read the following in another thread:

...Two beeps means you're in FCC mode

How can I test this?

TY

Very easy, just turn the control unit on and if FCC mode you will hear two beeps!

Cheers - I heard the two beeps this morning doing a go home test.

The on screen perimeter was red lined at 600m and I would often loose connection at around 550m. I'm yet to fly beyond 550m

I take it this changes according to conditions???

Also with regard to turning the screw in the back of transmitter - Is hearing the two beeps enough to consider that the full potential of FCC is reached - that the only thing limiting distance is more weather and environment conditions?

Like can the two beeps mean that your in FCC mode, but it does not guarantee that you have turned the screw to it's furthers point?

Srry - Not sure I am saying this right -

One more time - Does hearing the two beeps to indicate FCC mode enough with no further worry to adjust screw to hit some kind of sweet spot? (I wonder if my limited 550m ranges thus far (only 5 flights) is more to do with turning the srew just a little more - however I don't want to break the adjustment knob.

Srry I could not be more concise.

The FCC is only of or on! 1 beep no FCC 2 beeps FCC. The rest is up to environment and conds as you write!
Good luck!
