For anyone in the Phoenix/Tempe area. Anyone fly near the zoo or Tempe town lake or is that a tad to close to sky harbor?

Looking at the Hover app it looks like Tempe Town Lake is ok as long as you stay east of Rural rd. Sky Harbor 5 mile notification area looks to start right at Rural Rd. You can always try calling the airport operator to get clearance. That's a cool place to photograph, so I can see that flying there would be fun as well.

Zoo is out of the question. Too close to PHX and Tempe Town Lake is also in the class b.
If you want water, and mountains, check out Salt River north of Mesa. I fly out there from time to time.
