Help with limited range

Hi all. I keep on losing at a distance of 1800 feet. This seems very short. Anyone else have this problem?

May be or may not be. It is necessary to describe the conditions. If you can see the drone and it is at 100m hight, the antennas are in the optimal positions and there is no interference from another transmitter then it is short.

Try with tablet in airplane mode.

I can't see the drone at 1,800 feet but I am only 60 meters high. Do I need to go higher?

How would moving the tablet to airplane mode help?

Are there any obstacles between the RC and the drone? Can you describe the antennas positions?

No obstacles. I'm on a golf course. The antennas are straight up and I have extenders on them

Range is affected by other 2.4ghz devices in the area. Is the golf course in a residential area. Maybe bordered by homes that back up to the course? If so, all those wifi routers will interfere with your range.
