Help phantom 1

Hi iv just bought it the guy said the controller needs updating iv tried and it wont connect to app the light on the controller is solid green can anyone help

I have 3 P1s and don't know anything about updating the transmitter. , ,

I have FC40's and one P1. The light on the P1 controller is Orange while on the FC40 controller it is green.

Iv tried everything to connect controller to fc40 but nothing is working
