Help needed to get this off the ground

I purchased a phantom 3 standard on black Friday and because I live in northern Ohio weather is kind of holding me up trying to fly this thing. The little bit I have tried so far I can't get this thing off the ground. I've watched a lot of video but no luck yet. I live in the Canton Ohio area , is there anyone out there that I could get with for some guiding me through this. At one time I did get the motors to run with out the propellers but I can't even do this again. Thanks for any help

I see the CSC info posts , so I assume you got out and flew today
the weather was perfect here , in Girard today.

also the motors wont turn on indoors (no gps signal) if in beginner mode
