Help... iPad Pro and this Forum question?

So I have an iPad Pro on the latest firmware. Ever since I got this iPad I cannot view, or see anything on this forum unless I am connected to WiFi or recently I discovered a VPN.

Why would I have to connect to a VPN to get this forum to work on my iPad while my iPhone 6s+ works just fine?

Does your iPad Pro have cellular service like your iPhone does? If not, you will have to connect to WiFi to be "connected."
