Have you ever had people complain to you while flying?

Have you ever had people scream at you for flying your phantom? I mean cmon people it's getting ridiculous. I get so annoyed when people who are uneducated start mouthing to off about something they know nothing about.

All it does is show their ignorance but in the mean time hurts us hobbyists. I was literally flying my P3 around a fountain in a local park with my son. No one else around and this guy starts yelling that I'm
Invading his rights and I have no business spying on people!?! I blame the media. Such BS

So I tagged his house as a no fly zone for me. There are two side to a street and any story so be respectful and there will be more honey than bitter sweet.

Just tell them that, if anything, you're trying to avoid getting them in the camera view. Spoils the otherwise beautiful footage.

I had ONE neighbor who seemed a little leary of it when I first started flying my P2V+ about a year ago. She lives right on the edge of the big park at the end of our street where I like to fly because there's very little foot traffic and no buildings to fly over.

She saw me out flying it the other day while she was walking her daschund. I called her over and showed her the FPV screen. Once she saw that "people look like ants from way up there..." she seems to have calmed down a lot.

ETA: Her husband saw me out the other day and asked if I would take some pics of their other house that's for sale so he could post them on their realtor's website...no charge of course, just the neighborly thing to do.

Before today, all I've gotten was positive reactions and questions. A lot of waves too. Even the passerby that was curious where it came from seeing it fly around before. Met my first person that was not impressed by it though. Him being ex-military, thinking I was spying on people. All I was really doing was taking pictures of the bad weather heading my way. I just said what I really was doing and that was that.

I just acquired a crashed Phantom Pro. Fixing it up now. I never even considered this! People really get bent about this stuff! I mean I will try to educate while holding back the internal comments like "wanna see the pics I took of your wife last night........"

Yup, nearly all of these people who get bent out of shape post every stupid thing they do on Facebook and none of them batted and eye when Snowden said all of us are been spied upon and the gov pretty much has a digital database on all us from birth to death that started with Operation Shamrock back during WW2.

If you find some angry person I guess you could just video record their rant and upload it to youtube, you can legally monetize their ignorance.
