Ground station limits

I use GS a lot. I think its really fun and it does make me feel a little safer when I get over about 400 feet. It has the circle which shows the limits of the flight pattern which are set at around 1400 feet. I have seen others comment that they have used ground station and gotten 1000 meters. I use an iphone 6plus and some of the people who say they have gotten the 1000 meters have the same phone. Is their a way to set GS limits?

I have them set at 2500 feet and the GS area only reaches to 1400.

I don't think there is any way around the limits without using ilovecoffee's app ...
