Ground station ipad app

I'm having issues connecting the GS app with my ipad. I have the regular DJI app and that works fine, but it seems the GS app has more controls that I need; like adaptive turns and such. Is there any trick to linking the Phantom 2+ to the GS app? Someone please offer assistance, I seem to be at a dead end. I have my ipad wi-fi and bluetooth on. I'm able to connect the wi-fi to the DJI phantom, but when I start the GS app, it says "can't find aircraft".

Does anyone have any ideas I can try?

I don't think the ground station app works with the stock p2v+

I think it uses bluetooth and the repeater for the p2v+ is wifi only.

Hope I'm wrong and someone more knowledgeable corrects me.

Took me an age to realise that I had to use the ground station component of DJI vision app

The only way to use the Ground Station (full version) is to add additional hardware, the DJI Bluetooth Datalink
