GPS

The P4 has in some way to rely on GPS for several functions. Does it have it's own GPS tracking system or does the signal have to come from the tablet or phone connected to the remote?

GPS is built in to the aircraft.

On an additional note, its not just some functions, its more like 95%.

The GPS in the mobile device (if available) is only used when manually resetting the home point to the mobile device's current location or when using the Follow Me flight mode. All other GPS related functions use the GPS data from the Phantom's internal GPS receiver.
