Hey everybody. I'm new to the site and was wondering if failure of the gopro video out port (mini out) is common. A friend of mine burned up his video transmitter without the antenna. After installing a new video Tx , the video came on fine. Shut down the system and next time turned on no video. After swapping out all possible components it traced back to the gopro output. Any thoughts or experiences like this out there?

Unusual I would say. Normally it's an issue with the cable or connection.

I assume you have tried a different gopro and this works OK?

Other thing to check is that you have the gopro and monitor set to the same standard - either NTSC or PAL. If you have a mismatch here, you often get no picture.

Hey thanks for the suggestions. Much appreciated! We did not check to see if somehow the NTSC setting changes as we had gotten a picture earlier. Yes we did try another gopro and it worked.

Also make sure your Gopro firmware is up to date. I've had problems in the past with this.
