It is possible to mount the Gopro upside down in the gimbal. This places the lens closer to the center of the Phantom. I did this because I use floats attached under the motors when flying over water and they show up in the video with the camera mounted upright. You must set the camera for upside down mode. The biggest problem is that you must remove the camera from the gimbal to get the card out.
