GoPro Operations Help with Zenmuse H3

I can not find information on how the GoPro works with my new DJI Phantom with GP Hero 3 Black and Zenmuse H3 with FPV/monitor. I have looked on DJI websites, Googled it, forums, etc. Why is there not a manual or video telling me how this works? When I power up control unit then Phantom, let Phantom calibrate the GP power light goes red. I get no picture on monitor. Am I suppose to hit record on GP to get signal? What is protocol? Please help I'm on a shoot with this Friday! Oh I had to have a new Micro SD card shipped in from GoPro because no one around me carries this card. Will the GP not transmit without a card? I thought I could at least get picture on monitor? No instructions anywhere!
