While still in WiFi range, start up your P4, open the map window, scroll to the area you wish to fly and be sure you have "Cache Maps" setting enabled in GO. You should then be able to shut down your phantom but leave the app open on your device. Then go to the area you wish to fly and startup the P4. The map of the area should still be in GO on your device.

Hello,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Phantom Pilots forum.
I hope that you will be able to use the forum to further your safety knowledge and for the exchange of innovative ideas and as a resource for current developments in DJI quadcopters.

Like higerperspective says, cache the maps prior to flying at home. The app will save them.
