Google maps or Apple maps?

Which map app does the GoApp use? Or does it have its own map system? Using iPad on iOs9.

I would like to open up this thread from May although there are many others. I too was under the impression that IOS used Apple maps, however my neighbor put in a pool last summer. That pool shows up on Google maps but not on Apple maps. And it shows up on DJI Go. Google also shows my motorhome in the driveway which matches DJI go but not Apple maps. I am using an iPhone 6S+. It certainly appears as though we are using Google maps. Now one more variable. This is a US iPhone and I am in Canada. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
