Hello all I currently own a Blade 350qx and have had it since it was released. While I havent had many problems with it other than the props and a few other small issues for some reason I just dont trust it with the gopro interference issue which I have experienced a couple times. I am planning on buying the Phantom 2 with the H3-3D tomorrow. Before I do I have just a couple of questions.

I really like the RTH feature on the 350qx that I can just flip a switch on my dx6i at any time and it will come back to me. I know the Phantom will do that but is the remote already have a button programmed to RTH?

Last question. I dont do flips and have NEVER flown the 350qx in agility mode. I always used stability mode and absolutely loved it and the way it flew. Does the phantom have this mode. Where if I let go of the sticks it will self level out?

Thanks for answering these questions I have never flown with a gimbal before and cant wait!!!!

P.S Any other tips that I should know about?

Yes and yes :)

The P2 does have a switch on the controller that can be set to "failsafe" aka RTH (return-to-home). It just requires you changing the mode of the setup software (on your PC) and changing the assignment of that switch in a drop-down menu. Very easy.

The Phantom 2 flies in full GPS-stabilized mode by default, and should hold it's position in 3D space pretty tightly when you let go of the sticks and they're centered (which they spring back to by default).

You just made my day LOL!!! Im ready to buy!!!! On ebay I can get it for $959 shipped. Does that sound about right? Any suggestions on where to buy one? Thanks!!!

Forgot to mention if I sell my 350qx is there any reason to keep the dx6i for the phantom?

I wouldn't buy one of those on ebay, unless you know the source as a safe one. There's plenty of reputable dealers to buy from, and the price should be the same at all of them (unless they bundle in some extras, as some places do). I believe it's all still pre-order only though.

Are you in the US? If so, here's 2 places I'd recommend:
http://www.atlantahobby.com/store/pc/vi ... dcategory=
http://1uas.com/Phantom2-H3-3D

Or, even from DJI direct (they say it'll ship in 3-5 days):

To answer your other question, I don't think it's worth saving the DX6i, as the Phantom needs 7 channels for control. The stock controller is pretty decent for a bundled unit, but adding an aftermarket model is fairly easy if you decide to do that later.

Thank you so much for the help!. I was to excited to find an authorized dji dealer on ebay who had them in stock ready to ship and I purchased it. At 6pm he had 7 in stock and when I went back just a few hours later he only had 1 left and I bought it. The listing had his stores name and phone number and also said Authorized DJI Dealer! Full Support & Warranty!. Hopefully I made the right decision. Should have it before friday. Its coming from Califorina and Im in Michigan so it will be close. In the mean time I will be doing allot of reading up!
