Gimbal tilt idea…any help?

I thought of taking the tilt control off the stock controller and somehow making a small hand held box that someone else can control while in flight. Has anyone ever done this? I imagine it's possible to rig something like a simple mini-jack to the controller that would allow remote but tethered tilt control. I think it's already possible if we can relocate the tilt control from the back by putting a new pot on the face of the controller.

Very easy to do.
Get a length of balanced microphone or stereo headphone cable - as this will have 3 cores, and simply connect the wires via a stereo mini-jack back to the controller.

I have modded my controller with a knob on the back, so moving it a bit further would be no drama at all.

Just remember to re-calibrate the R/C so that you can set the maximum travel of the pot.
