The last 8 times I flew, i used the DJI app to activate the compass calibration...it worked as advertised, and i saved hammering on the s1 switch. I know some here have been concerned, if flipping the switch, may cause unneeded wear on the controller. My 2 cents

I'm doing the same because I don't want to find out how well that switch can hold up to wear and tear
