I have a extra Tx one for GoPro 3 & one for Phantom 3,what I'm trying to do is hook up Tx to GoPro 3(without Phantom 2)so I can use camera through googles or monitor but it's not working,why?

I have battery part I hook up wires from tx yellow & black to GoPro wire black & red,black to black & yellow to red(don't work)then I try GoPro audio/video tx(doesn't work)what's wrong
