Follow vs Lead?

So…


Imagine a kayaker paddling on a lake.


I position my P4 behind and above the kayaker and select the kayaker on the device screen.

I understand how easy it is to set up to follow and film in this situation.


Is there any way to change this process 180 degrees and put the P4 ahead and above the kayaker to film?


In other words, any way to have the P4 be set up to lead the kayaker, not follow? A way to have the P4 stay in front of the moving kayaker, not stay behind? The kayaker pushes the P4, vs. pulls the P4?
